Equipped with wings to fly

Nisha found a profitable occupation and a means to pay for her family’s needs after undergoing training to become a beautician with TCSRD support

Nisha Chavada

Nisha Chavada hails from Arambhada village in Okhamandal taluka in Gujarat. She completed a basic course for running a beauty parlour in 2016 and an advanced course in 2018, with support from the Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) in Mithapur.

TCSRD also imparted motivation and innovation training that gave Nisha the confidence to start her beauty parlour. Prior to training, her financial condition was weak, but today her regular income ranges from Rs1,000- Rs1,500 and her income during the business season ranges from Rs7,000-Rs8,000.

Her social status has risen after starting her own beauty parlour, and she is able to pay for her family’s needs as well as her nephew’s school fees. She is thankful to TCSRD for giving her wings to fly.
