R. Mukundan

R. Mukundan, Managing Director & CEO of Tata Chemicals Limited, joined Tata Administrative Service in 1990, after completion of his MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Roorkee, a Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in business administration by XIM University, Bhubaneshwar. With over 30 years’ experience at Tata Group, he has held various responsibilities across the Chemical, Automotive and Hospitality sectors of the Tata Group.

R. Mukundan serves on the boards of Rallis India Limited, Tata International Limited, Ncourage Social Enterprise Foundation (Section 8 Company), Homefield Pvt. UK. Ltd, TCE Group Limited, Gusuite Holdings (UK) Ltd, TC Africa Holdings Ltd., Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited, Tata Chemicals North America Limited, Tata Chemicals International Pte. Ltd, Indo-Moroc Phosphore S.A., Tata Chemicals South Africa (Pty) Ltd., Carbon Disclosure Project India (Section 8 Company) and Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC). He also serves as a Trustee of various trusts and is a member of the advisory board of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He is currently the Vice President of the Confederation of Indian Industry for FY 2024-25.
